Thanks. Like I said, I almost never take naps. Anyone who has been in camp with me can back that up. It was a nice break from the cabin fever routine though.
Going todrive past the area I'll be hunting. Want to see if they did any work in there in case I need a different game plan.
Actually I really think it’s a waste of time getting out here this early this time of year, but I’m sick of sitting in the camper.
I’m at my spot. Scouted the bottom of this woods a bit, kicked a few up and said screw it. Came to the top to look at the oaks… this one in front of me is giant and dropping like crazy. The sign under it is crazy as well. The big guy is hitting the oaks just to my SE but not sure if I want to sit just for him. Might make his was north to me as it’s only 50 or so yards. I’m on the ground in a group of real small poplar trees 20 yards into the meadow. Real hard to find a tree when these oaks are on the edge of a thick wood line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Trees are still standing. Going to need the rain to go away the rest of the month so the "creek" can go down. Just about out of its banks and swift current. Don't think I would be comfortable rafting across it as it is. That said, holy crap is that a lot of land. Wish I could utilize other parking spots available though. Be a long assed drag. Going to be nice being able to sleep in a bit and only a 20 minute drive. Be a little quicker in the mornings with no traffic and longer light cycles.
Same here. We’ve gotten out by 330-4 each night and really nothing starts moving until maybeee 630. Usually 7 or later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wind swirling terribly in this bowl. Have a feeling it’s not going to end well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Down 7 with 4th and 25, ball on my own 30, with 10 seconds left on the clock. Need a touchdown and 2pt to win. Need a miracle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guess that spot wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I know they're moving through there, but it could be at night. I pulled all my gear out of there. Tomorrow morning I'll go back to the T-woods for the morning sit and then tomorrow afternoon I'm going to go to my primary spot across the creek that I wanted to hunt on day 1. I saw the creek this afternoon from the tree I was in and it can still be crossed. I'll have to take a machete and cut a trail on the far bank at the crossing sometime in the middle of the day The weeds are about 8 feet tall. I could walk through it, but I'd prefer not to test the limits of my treated clothing. I can come back after I cut the trail and shower off. I'm gonna kill something this trip.
