You using lighted nocks or certain of a pass through? Hopefully as he spun he was quartered away ebough as to where entry really doesn't matter for lethality, but certainly sucks for dressing him out.

I was just texting a buddy about the fact when i went to thes micro diameter arrows i quit using the lighted nocks cause they broke all the time. Im definitely going back to a different arrow next year. So no lighted no k. He was spinning away after i released so he was quartering away. Had a good angle he was at about 15yds.

The arrow should tell us a story too. Did you look at it yet?

Just realized tonight my new arrows are same spine but smaller diameter as current arrows so can't transfer lighted nocks.

Ordering new nocks way cheaper than switching arrows.

You have to work tomorrow? Hoping to hear an arrow/POI blood update soon. How far did you watch him after the shot?

It’s why we love this game so much. It’s not easy all the time. A batter struggles at the plate every now and then. Good luck hope you find him.

Ended up not hunting this evening due to the warmer weather. After reading Holts hunt I probably should have stayed down in MD!!! Instead I mowed and did some more work on the basement. Tomorrow will probably be my last sits for awhile since my wife is being induced with out first on Thursday! Temps not as low as I wanted but still in the mid 40s for the low so I’ll take it

Had a amazing hunt! Ended up seeing 6 does, and 3 bucks. One being a huge shooter 8 pt. My setup was perfect and had him in 3 shooting windows. First one he stopped Perfect but had a 4" tree right thru middle of body and it was 10 minutes before dark, so didn't feel comfortable. I was full draw with pin on him, but something said don't do it. He ran thru a thicket and never stopped in next opening. I mouth grunted and he stopped, looked at me and snort weezed right at me! Coolest thing I've ever seen! He ran to the next opening and stopped Perfect in it broadside. He was at 40 and didn't feel comfortable again. I'm proud of myself with not forcing a shot and to keep my cool. Think I'm finally maturing my self as a hunter. I will be after him soon. All 3 bucks tonight were chasing does also.

He disappeared into creek. He stopped at edge of it though for a minubefore he slowly sank into it. Only 50 yds from where i shot him. Hes hurt just how bad. If i dont recover him im taking up knitting for the rest of the season

Only replying to this part. I stamd corrected maybe. Seems the new arrows I bought are way smaller than I anticipated. If my math is correct ID would be 5mm/.197". Smallest nock I'm finding is .204". While it's only .007" difference that's pretty big for this instance.

Hell, the arrows don't even snap into my quiver or bow case grippers. Pop in and have a lot of slop.

Going to have to buy a new quiver too, think I have enough old arrows to get through the season, so not an immediate need.

Last time I order different arrows online

Where did you find the blood from POI and how far away from each other were those pics? Looks promising in a sense, but with the way it has been misting and foggy all day small water droplets can be misleading in thinking it's bubbles.
