I'm out Spent 10 minutes raising Treestand so I'm hidden better. There was a fawn watching me 40 yards away. Never ran off as I walked south.
Hoped id see that buck from last night. Im kinda close to that spot. Within 200 yds. Im about done till tomorrow am when i get down ill hang a cam and retrieve another one that hasnt been getting much for pics. At least i got to watch a mink in the creek for awhile.
Pretty much have everything packed for Ky. Excited to go back and hunt some of the mysterious public land bucks.
Nothing else. Headed home to train soccer with my daughter. I need a 6 foot 200lb woman named Olga to karate chop my back and rip my trap muscles off of my neck while she smokes a cigarette. My back hurts from these long treestand hours!
Me too brother! Just told the wife i need to go watch the back of my eyelids for awhile. And the neighbors are cutting grass. I love napping with lawn mowers in the distance. Recharge commence.
I left woods around noon. Saw the buck around 8:40 am and nothing after that. Going to friends house tonight for fall party. Took Tuesday off work so I’ll will be hunting then. Supposed to be warm again but I may still try and all day sit. We will see
Back on stand for my afternoon hunt. Only saw a spike and 6 turkeys this morning. Good luck out there this evening. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm back up. Went and ate lunch. The guy that walked by me this morning, shot a doe. Talked to them for awhile. Another out of state hunter group. Group of 8 from Vermont again. Nice guys. I went to same spot as this morning, but pushed in more close to this ridge back that all bucks seem to walk down the last 2 years. I'm riding the property line tonight, so going to have to watch my shots. Go luck all. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Headed out here soon. Not sure where yet maybe same stand as the other night though that maybe a morning one. Well hubby has now decided right at hunting time he wants to weed wack the culverts leading into the area. Change of plans If I could only ship him or myself to camp for the next two months. I could check out the open to e of blind down the hill. I've only hunted that the one morning early doe. There is a fresh scrape and licking branch down there.
