Finally got back to house and charged my phone. It died out there right after video. Oh man. What a season so far. Wanna know what happens when you second guess your tree and decide to move. This happens. While bow is on ground and you are 8 ft off the ground. :rant:At least im in the deer. It will happen.

So, ordered what I thought was a dozen arrows a while back. Ended up it was only 6.

Anyway, received them today and I effed up. I measured just the shaft length not to the nock point. So I received 27 1/2" AMO when it should have been 28". I use a whisker biscuit and drew with the 28" arrow and have plenty of room to draw back the 27 1/2" arrows. I found my original paperwork to know it should have been 28".
Has arrow mass as 416 for the original 28" and 470 for the new 27 1/2".

I know I'll have to shoot both to see if any change in POI, but am I missing something that may be unsafe with this? I know jackchit about this stuff, have used the same bow shop since 2007 for most everything exceot the basics, broadheads etc.

Clint, as long as the broadhead clears the riser, I d guess you'll be fine?

That's what I assume, but assumption is the mother of all eff ups. Just want to be sure, but yes, the shaft would still be in contact with the rest.

I'll have to shoot a few in the backyard tomorrow to see if they hit with the longer ones.

Back in 2019 I bought 6 arrows without practices tips for $32.00.

2022 I bought 6 with practice tips for $125.99, ouch

It is 5/8” and it is to small to sleep. It is just in the cargo space, back seat is still up. Its only purpose to keep gear more organized on trips.

Just because I temporarily lost my rangefinder, had raccoons get into my ice chest of food, took a wrong turn trying to find the camp and ended up an hour later than I said I would be there, and passed on a spike the first morning at 14 yards because didn’t want to burn my buck tag if the spikes were bigger than 3”, does NOT mean I was disorganized.

It means I was on an adventure. :bhod:
