Disclaimer- I didn't get close to shooting any deer. It ended up being an interesting hunt. I saw a couple of does - I think fawns. Neither too close. About a half hour before dark I see 2 bucks 300 yards away in a tree line splitting the corn field I'm hunting and a soy beans east of it. Through binos I can see they look like 1.5 yo. A few minutes later I see them again, but now there's 4 of them- all young bucks. They took turns sparring a bit. Then I see a bigger buck in the middle of the standing beans. He watched the young bucks but barely moved. By that time I could tell he was bigger, but couldn't see specifics. I have 2 stands on that tree line. I might need a third!
Hawk sticks on sale for 40% off at Midway USA if anyone is interested. Their merino wool is also on sale for roughly 40% off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have the 30" helium and like them. My only "Hitch" to their use is...I need a glove with some palm padding. The "foot grip " on the steps are a tad rough on my hands as I climb. Easy to set , I have a bow sling which I love so instead of carrying my bow in hand I sling that over my back and hand carry the sticks. Or I shoulder sling bow on one side and use one sticks tree wrap as a sling to shoulder carry those on the other side.
I will be out this afternoon also. Work a half day then head out for the evening. Good luck all Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk

Good luck AM killers! Hope to be out tomorrow PM. Only thing to derail that plan is.....work. Which has derailed every plan so far this. Probably should have put that in the rant thread.
What do you have planted? Looking for something to make a kill plot in my woods. Hearing white clover would be good.
My vacay got denied tomorrow . My supervisor has a funeral to go to. He wouldnt even do paper rock scissors. I was just trying to be fair.
They have a big crossing coming off that point. I just never see deer coming out of there and rarely see deer working that edge unless it's the rut. Just to the left out of the picture there is a tiny pinch that they use heavily where there is a giant scrape. They've been visiting it around 6am the last week just waiting for them to start daylight activity.
