I'm actually not attached... I've never worn a harness. Ever.

I KNOW I should be. No lectures please. I know all of it. I will invest in life savings at some point.

Good luck with it. My wife just got diagnosed with Alfa Gail from a tick. No cure and don't know how long it's going to last. She seems to get bad reactions to pork related products. She's fine with bacon. But a lot of sausage type products will make her have a allergic reaction and almost to the point she has to use a epie pen. Took years and many doctors for her to finally find out what she has. But she has zero reaction to deer meat thankfully. So it my mission to stock the freezer every year now.

All my hunting clothes have been sprayed but I don't spray regular clothing due to not knowing what I'll be wearing each day, thus the deet. This was a work weekend mid 70's here. Hubby and I working on cleaning up storm mess around the house and leaf blowing. I did a lot of chain saw work under trees...even with hair tied up and tucked under a skull cap then sprayed till wet pulled ticks off the back of my neck and my hair was literally crawling with them. I'm so tired the creep factor alone has kept me up st night. Stipped our bedding 3 times this weekend.....

That's not even funny, but likely true

I knew it was going to happen though, just wasn't expecting it to be this year.

Dude! Wear a harness, my buddy broke his back and almost died. Not worth it at all. I have a harness I’ll send you too. At what point will you invest, when it’s too late ?!

Just go ahead and buy a saddle also, that way your covered! Haha

Also might want to pick up a ladder stand. I did see someone on public yesterday dragging one thru the woods. Next hot trend! Just kidding, don't buy one.

God forbid something happen to him.

Think about it. You break your back, then your wife Is stuck wiping your butt and pushing ýou around in a wheelchair the rest of her life.

Jake never to late to start wearing some kind of safety back up system. Heck get a saddle and have best of both worlds.

Jake, wear a damn harness. Or at the very least, wear a belt and attach something to the back/attach to the tree for the time being. High winds plus exhaustion=fall potential

Dude!! When I was younger I was like you, never wore a harness. My wife kept after me about and I always told her I'd get one. Well one day her and I were in Gander Mtn together. She asked me did I ever get the safety harness? I said no but I will. She said I know you will cause I'm buying it for you right now! Well she did and do you know what happened the very first time I used it? I climbed up in the stand and stepped onto the platform and it broke! Had I not been wearing that harness I would have fallen. I was always careful and I thought as long as I'm careful, nothing will happen. Well you can be as careful as can be but you never know when a piece of equipment will fail. Do it for your family!!

I don't know that I could ever adjust to a saddle. And trust me, I know not to even think ladder stand. I bought onw years back I was going to put on the land I was hunting. Was going to put together on site at the tree. Ended up selling to a coworker. So this back and forth started a long te ago  I'd never try another ladder stand unless it was permanent and I could drive to the tree with it fully assembled.
