Just sat down and thinking I'm not going to see or hear anything for awhile. Yote howls about 75yds in the direction I just came from. There is not any wind at all so I know that joker heard me coming in. TDK hope your cousin is successful

Coon or porcupine just came up the creek. Thought it was a deer. Had the heart pumping.

I am trying to check in on this thread daily but have given up. Congrats to all who killed in the last week. I am up in about 15 MPH winds! Can’t kill from the couch, and I am on limited days! 30 minutes from legal time! Good luck all!

One direction from my set up. Train rolling through. I wonder if the deer lock up when it comes through because you can't hear anything IMG_20221023_072017.jpg

Had a single deer walk by at 30 yards. It’s still dim, so I glassed it and didn’t see antlers. I almost shot it but I know a lone doe is a rare thing right now so I didn’t. It was still in bow range when this pic came in from my Reveal X that’s 50 yards down the hill:

You almost got yourself a spike. What's the rule there for it to be considered a antlerless? Here in MD it's 3" or less.

Same here, 3”. It would have counted as an antlerless but I sure don’t want to shoot them. If I did shoot one I certainly wouldn’t want it to be on accident and then have to break out a ruler to find out if I just broke the law or not.

I'm the same. Don't want to risk it. Beside he is the future of your buck hunting. One of the main reason I carry binos, just to check if it's not a small spike or button.

I learned a long time ago that it’s almost never a good idea to shoot what looks like a single doe.

That little spike came back by at 25 yards. He did look a little more tasty that time but he needs to grow up.

Alright! When you say the shot looked “a little back” how far back are we talking about?
