    Opted to hunt on base this morning. Snuck in best I could and picked a random tree in the dark. I knew the area itself was hot but did not have a tree picked out to climb. Buck comes in to about 15 yards of my tree and looks right up at me. After a staredown he turned broadside and gave me a shot. The rest is history.     I should have said little 8 point. He was maybe 70”. I’m hoping he will bump some does my way.

    At least I saw a deer from the stand.

    Nice job on the kills fellas!
    Im thinking that I'll put a little family time in this weekend and wait until Thursday to hunt again. I discovered another new spot that looked pretty decent from the road and OnX so I'll likely scout that spot early Thursday and make a decision about location for an afternoon sit that day.
