Sounds like your bad luck outcome resembled mine. I missed a hunt just by timing of events, but was still back up and running within an hour of hitting the shop with very little issue. ThinknI had a bit of peep twist but was able to work it out.

Any clue on why yours derailed?

I always get paranoid when I let down after coming to full draw. I remember one time I was at full draw waiting on a buck to exit the woodline, but he hung up. I actually pulled the bow away at full draw from my anchor point trying to wait him out . Couple times I came off the wall and damn near let down at an awkward angle.

Congrats! Still looking like you're waiting for someone to criticize your shot or something

All in good fun, I hate my pic being taken and will never smile on purpose. Usually a blank stare regardless

Say "got him" then post a pic with deer in it and no head gear. That's gotta be a foul of some sorts....

    Congrats!

I was at full draw on the buck and he was behind me. I was leaned out and pretty contorted. When I had to let down I'm sure I torqued the bow and just ran the string off the cam. Totally my fault. I guarantee I'll pay more attention to let downs in the future.

So, I didn't see a deer this sit. Weird. Oh well, that's hunting.

Tomorrow morning may be my last sit this trip. I'll shoot a doe if I get the chance. I'll shoot a buck if I get the chance. Any deer will do in the morning. If I kill one I'll get it on ice and then head home. If I don't kill one I may or may not stay and hunt one more afternoon sit.

I'm about ready to go home. These bucks will still be here when I come back.

Congrats @Slugger and @SkylarPreston. I had no service on stand, 4 doe and I pushed into the bedding. I’m liking it a lot for tom am, wind outa the west. Should work great if a buck cooperates.

Letting down sucks, especially when it is due to fatigue. First thought that enters my mind is aim at the ground and send it, going to spook it either way. Just can't do it and most timew works out for the best just letting down. Always amazes me when they don't even look up afterwards, yet you blink too fast and they catch you.

Worst case scenario, was the ML still an option or did the season end?

    Congratulations again Skylar!

I should institute a special rule just for you. When you kill a buck you have to smile in at least one of the pics or it won't count.
