I have to try and find a shop somewhere close once I get down. I texted my wife and she volunteered to drive the Heli-m to me. I really love that woman.
Can’t get down yet. Does in the field feeding. Like my Uncle Wendell used to be fond of saying, “Sh** fuzzy farts.”
I’m working almost 2 miles back in some wma behind a gate I may get time to hunt here tomorrow after we get done working I feel kinda of guilty if I stay back here and hunt just wondering do y’all think it would be a butthole move for me to stay and hunt and drive out after dark Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Is there a trail north and south through that block where the buck traveled? Or is that the powerline? Can you shift east a bit to get closer or at least see if hes on a run or other sign where you saw him?
Just feel bad for the guys that are walking in here but I haven’t seen anyone most people that come back this far would probably come in by boat the lake is only about 300 yards from my job site Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Is that on the new bow? That sucks, and I thought it was bad when my release broke as I was drawing on a buck a few years ago.
Gotcha. Well from an outside opinion if i was a guy walking in and knew you were being dropped off cause you worked in there i would think “dang i wonder if theyre hiring” . Id call it a perk of the job and wouldnt blame you man. But i know how butt hurt a lot of folks get. Its funny though the people who would cause a big stink in situations like that are generally the people who would do the same in your shoes. I say HUNT. And let the cry babies cry. As long as you wont get in trouble at your job if someone calls and complains that is. But whos gonna know?
I wasn't too far off. I'll be back in there in about 10 days. Def bedding area and prob better when hunting pressure picks up.
Had that happen with mine last year while drawing on a buck... Luckily, I bought a portable bow press before the season and was able to get it back in order pretty quickly. I'm sure the shop will check, but I was told to check to make sure the cams weren't bent, cables and strings were good, and limbs didn't have any damage... Luckily, mine was all good and the only thing I had to replace was the spring on my Hamskea rest. I was able to get it in working order for the rest of the weekend, but it was only good for one shot before it started to lengthen enough to affect shot placement a little more every shot. Still a crappy thing to have happen! I think about it now whenever I draw my bow in a high adrenalin situation...
I'm out, rain sucks , no snow, sorry LC. I know that "F " word would have come out if my mouth. Sky you shot another ? I'll go back and read posts again.
There’s an archery shop 20 minutes away in Wingo. Called and he said he’d do what he could. Headed there now.
You are on to the Bucks. When you kill one here in the next day or 2 this is gonna be a helluva story.
Shoot who here besides me thinks LC could kill a deer with a self made trident (arrows) attached to a sapling he cuts down himself??
