A buddy of mine told me to hop in the truck and come distress on the drive (just under two hours) and help destress more on a stand at his place. Somewhere new, plenty of deer that need killed and far from the **** that has been happening.

West wind, picked corn forty yards north, brown beans to my east bout 90 yards, food plot of greens bout 120 to me SE and harvesting occurring west of this block of bedding.

expect to see deer and hopefully get a shot at one.

Finally got caught up. Wow, 20 pages or so. Lots of killing going on. If I missed anyone above, well Congrats. Been lots going on at the home front. Kids, soccer, law enforcement sucks in today's world, pain in the ass ex, trying to keep bio boys out of my daughters school locker room and just life in general. It's very frustrating. Didnt much feel like coming out today, to much to do and really to late. But here I sit, down on a lower food plot on my property, wind in my face. Just gonna veg in the tree. Dont expect anything except the sun going down. Wont shoot anything except a good buck here.
Good luck anyone who is out.

Just got set up in state land where I was last Sunday when my release failed me. we have 20 to 30 mph gusts so I'm rocking right now but it's supposed to tail off around 6. If the the deer come where I think they are supposed to come I won't see anything with this wind but if they come the direction they did last time I might have some action.

Ahhhh. Just woke up from a 2 hour nap. I'm not much for taking naps, but I needed that.

I should be on stand in about a half hour.

To be accurate, the app must use your current location. The "moon under" is time dependent on where you are in the country...like this: Screenshot_20221015-165658_Time2Hunt Lite.jpg

Well im on a roll today! I knew this was pushing in close but with the wind shifting i thought i could get in here. I bumped a couple bucks one was super nice. Nothing like watching a foot long tail and a giant rack bounding away. I almost thought about trying the bump n dump but there was no way to get in there without being visible from a mile away. . Im sure thats why he bedded there. I think i will try to get in there early in the AM if conditions look good. Im setup about 100yds down from where i bumped him but in opposite direction i would expect him to travel

I shouldn’t have taken that nap. It left me a little foggy.

First, I’m toting my muzzleloader and I forgot my speed loaders so I only have one shot.

I wore my sunglasses almost all the way to the tree. When I walked into the woods I wondered why it was so dark.

Just as I got to my tree I got a text from Tony saying I had deer to enter. What? I got set up and looked and yeah, there were some to be entered but it had only been like an hour. Have I spoiled you all that much?

Anyway, I had just added Benny_Bucks buck when I looked up saw three does walking out of an opening at 70 yards. They went to the pond and left on a different trail where I had no shot and there were 7, not 3. Should have waited until I got back to the camper.

Anyway, I still think something is gonna die here this evening.
