That extra 50lbs of dejection was felt on the walk out.

Not a fan of the high temps, but I can’t kill them if I’m not there.

I got back to the camper and got on my laptop. I managed to delete the dislike.

I guess that's the one downside of using the internet browser on my phone for the forums: The dislike button is right where my right thumb usually rests.

I have never given an intentional dislike and I don't plan to. If I don't like something someone posts I'll say so, but I don't use the dislike button. Well, not on purpose, like I said.

I didn't see a deer this morning. I'm not really surprised though. The primary movement period ended well before first light. Still, there should have been at least a couple stragglers.

Oh well. I'll kill something this evening instead.

I just got out of the stand. From the time I walked in to the time I got down I had deer with 30 yards of my stand this morning. I’m not 100% sure but I think I saw 16, and could have shot 4 does. Only 2 small but the flood gates will soon open.

The stand I chose to sit this morning is in a strip of woods maybe 90-100 yards wide by 200 yards long. It’s pretty open for the most part but it’s situated between bedding areas on either end and 2 corn fields.

Sorry I couldn’t update from the stand but I could hardly move let alone bring my phone out

No deer seen for me. Back home now. I won't be on stand this evening, got a pig roast to go to. There might be a chance I get out for a evening hunt tomorrow though.

    Good luck evening crew!

Man I'm mad at my self! I'm usually pretty good at not losing anything in the woods. Well it happen today. I have a favorite camo buff that I use to cover my face. It's wool, so I can use it in 90 degrees to 30 degrees. Had it for 5 years. It fell out sometime on my walk out. To far to go back and look for it and don't plan to go back to that place anytime soon. Sorry for the rant.

I use Hunting Calendar Pro for moon phases.

Here’s what it shows for today where I am:
