what can I say, I am the only one in my family man enough to bowhunt. Working on that with my boys, but they aren’t big enough to pull enough draw weight to hunt.
Congrats to all the killers...way to get it done! As I was putting on my quiver to leave a spike came running in the same path as this a.m.s doe and button. He got 10 yards away then caught my scent. He didn't spook much but turned and walked in the opposite direction. Heard an actual grunt and a clash of racks.
WTG Brett! I guess them Missouri deer won't be messing with you from now on! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I'm finally down and back at the camper. I had something happen that was a first. I got pinned in my tree by bucks. Three more does came by after the first group. I could have killed any one of them too. All of the does had gone west to east to the pond and then into the corn field. Just before last light I saw two deer in the field coming to the pond. I figured they were bucks. I glassed them and one was a little six point. The other was a great 8 point. By the time they got into the woods it was too dark to shoot. I could barely see them but they were getting a drink from the pond. I waited and waited. I knew I would stay as long as it took, but in about 20 minutes I heard them continue on west. Also, I'm surprised that no-one noticed that the pic of the doe I posted earlier was actually a pic of a spike. I posted the wrong pic. I'm surprised someone didn't have fun with that. It's been edited. Oh, and @bucksnbears and @virginiashadow - Congratulations on the does guys!
I told him earlier that no self-respecting Missouri deer would allow itself to be shot by someone with "Virginia" in their screen name. I guess he found a doe that had no self respect.
