Busted! 70+ yrds away but the winds switched. Blowing right into sanctuary. ..thought I'd be OK because it's back to front across there. They had entered behind me this morning.. well snort , snort, snort all the way across the sanctuary. So much for this hunt. Maybe something didn't here it 2 hours to go. There goes two army helicopters, dang they fly low and here come the grackles. Time to get ****e on....nice..lol
All setup over some berry/ thorn bushes. Not a lick of greenbrier to be found in here. A little over an hour of sunlight left. Good luck
Just sitting here in my good luck crocs - a dang wood pecker keeps hitting the metal roof of blind. About hour and a half to go. Most action is around 6. But, I have a truck down from me - so not sure where they are or if they stirred stuff up.
I got two babies out - Mama is probably behind. I usually see them every sit. Maybe baby daddy will show up.
HERE Is A Question IN THE PIC Is A Foot PEG FROM My Stick ladder. Now I know what I would call it but curious, what would you guys name them?
Lol... I'm not a guy but my first thought was ...nut huskers....that is if one fell. Just saying.....
Thought I felt sprinkles. Westerly wind bringing in the colder air. Time to put on a jacket amd get busted doing so
Had a fawn bleating nonstop since I got in. Just watched a 2 1/2yr old 8 pushing its mom around on the edge of their bedding. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I had to move….discovered the grandson literally just put up a ground blind left of he stand behind a thick tree so didn’t see it right away. Literally sits on a path the deer are asked to walk by design and ten feet from the main path dumping into the field. this wasn’t here when days prior to season…I bet he literally just put it there Tuesday. I got down and moved up to a different piece of property that not many deer use and he never goes….even decent doe isn’t walking mere feet from a brand new blind. Kid is being an ass plain and simple and owner knows it. I’d say 90% chance I pull stands during or after this year here… may come back tomorrow and glyphosate blast all the plots we put in here
