On and off showers/snow showers/mist/drizzle all day ending in about 30 minutes. Freshen up a few scrapes, cut a few limbs, and get my butt in the same stand as yesterday. Washed all of my gear and have had it airing out in the garage all day.

Winds supposed to start dying down around 4. Getting some nice lulls between gusts now.

Starting to get overcast, feeling right.

Clint puts on a clinic of "LFTS How To for Beginners" every year. Thanks for not disappointing and shoot one in the boiler room already.

All set up for the evening. Beautiful day here in PA. This set has been a proven producer!! First time in this season so hopefully it gets exciting here in awhile
I have morning and evening sits planned for tomorrow also so I have a nice stretch of tree time !!!.
Good luck to everyone else who’s out.

I hate when there is a crow in the area that sounds just like a buck grunting.

Yeah I’ll be getting wet tonight. On and off showers means on and off down pours.

See how long and how often it lasts before I’ve had enough. True test for first life weather resistance I guess.

Been waiting all day for pictures and confirmation of recovery; my brother killed his first bear this morning. It was liver shot so they gave it until this afternoon for recovery.

Back up in a tree. Next to corn field. Farmer was cutting fields across the road from me yesterday and the day before. Still has 6 more fields til the one I'm in wind is little gusty.

The corn stalks would like something is going thru them I'm sure it's just the wind. Can't see anything.

Object of tonight is kill kill

I’m all set up. Picked corn field all around me, a pond just over my left shoulder and a scrape 15 yards in front of me on the pond levee.

Wind is WSW so I should be good for the afternoon.

Not sure if it will happen before tomorrow or maybe during the lull, but think I need a good pair of lace up boots. For 15 years all I have worn is these big ass insulated alpha burleys.

I think they'll really help with the climber, these are too big to get under stirrups and lift bar comfortably for total movement control of the platform.

Also thibk they don't let me get on the small stick steps comfortably neither. Only time I ever hung it before I did it in tennis shoes amd jeans without issue.

Took me awhile to slow walk 500 yds. Leaves are down and dry. I'm 63 yds downwind from that bed. Kept a cover strip between us so he wouldn't see me climb. Hope he comes out in the blue.

Just had to refresh my antlerless language. Couldm't remember if it was 3" or less or 3" and longer. Less than 3"it is. So anything more tham nubs I'm not even risking it.
