I’m all set up. It is raining leaves here. I love being out when it does that.

These woods have changed since the crops were harvested. The trails are all chewed up from traffic.

This could be entertaining. Then again it could be boring. Who knows? That’s hunting.

With it being so dry here this should be a prime spot.

Got all set up at 3:45, just had a doe walk by at 35. It is windy windy but supposed to calm down some by dark.

Walked by a bunch of scrapes on the way in that haven’t been worked in the last couple days. I’m hoping the unicorn or another big 8 comes out to freshen them up tonight!

Four does/fawns and a spike. Same group I bumped walking in with my stand.

Isn’t there a Brad Paisley song that goes something like “well I’m gonna miss her”

Walked by me at 28 yards. At the pond now. Would have been an easy kill.

This is where I’m at this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. If the field around this wood patch had been corn instead of soybeans I’d be close to the field edge.

There is a picked corn field to the west and when the deer get up I expect them to come get a drink before they head to the corn field.

I prefer the end of the couch stand. The recliner stand can make too much noise. Lol.
    Good luck guys.

I can barely see anything with all the buckthorn and forgot my saw. Have maybe a 10 yard shot on either side of me. Really bummed I forgot my saw. This is an awesome spot.

I just realized how nice it is to be hunting in a place where I don’t hear yapping dogs, gravel road traffic, mud tires on pavement or Amish buggy horses clopping down the highway.

    So relaxing.
