WNW wind again this afternoon. Would anyone care to give their opinion on how they would go about hunting that south line? Is it too early to be that aggressive with such a marginal wind? The neighbors field is hay/green and there are generally deer just to the east so the west wind is very tough. Just go back to the pine tree I was sitting under? Mapped it on onX and it's 146yds from the pine trees to that corner. Not even 730am and this is my brain... Damn deer.
Well...you asked. I would not try it. If you know the exact route he is coming out on and have a good idea how the wind and thermals are going in respect to that route...maybe, but I'd vote wait him out on a better wind. Could try to grunt him over closer to your spot? That's about as agressive as I would get, but I'm not a celebrity hunter.
Loading up now heading to Ohio for a lotto hunt. Gonna get eyes on this property and hunt this evening for a observation sit then adjust accordingly for the next couple days.
Raining now. Wind shifting a complete 180 once the rain stops. I got a good spot in mind! Hoping to get in stand early afternoon!
I have till the 22nd, it’s killdeer plains. We have a good section and designated parking. Been studying Topos and I have a good plan. Will see how it unfolds, I’ll be hunting till Sunday evening then heading home and will be back out Tuesday - 22nd. Going 100% mobile and I’m going to be aggressive.
It's never to early to be aggressive if the bucks are there. Way wait when the deer you want to shoot are there NOW! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
It's easy man. Take your stand and sticks and go in for one sit. Do it in one trip, set stand, then hunt. Put your stand right in this tree with the red circle. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
