Friends cousin had a peg snap on him tonight and ended up tearing his leg open from the top of his knee to about his crotch. Looked like someone filleted his leg right down the middle and opened it up as wide as they could. Not sure how he survived but he ended up driving himself to the hospital. Only fell about 10ft but man. Haven’t seen someone’s leg like that from a peg before (and I’ve seen some bad ones).

I know most of us are conscious about the integrity of the gear we are using, but make sure to double check next time you’re climbing up.

    Congrats tdk5525.
I've always hated dragging deer outta standing corn.
Seen one small bear last evening and none this evening.
Got 5 days left to getter done.
Gonna put all my short sleeves away for the year. I love waking up and working/hunting in a good Hoodie.

Makes one think about using those things at all. They certainly have their advantages in terms of weight reduction if you're trying to be mobile though. I hope everything turns out OK for him. That sounds pretty devastating.

oh man! Thats the exact reason why I've never used them, they turn into gut hooks. Glad he survived and wish him a speedy recovery!
