I hear that man. If anything, it shows you how much that bucks range starts picking up around Oct 15th and areas where he may bed/types of preferred bedding cover. They are clever animals.
That 15th seems to be the switch. Between me and another guy we have watched our cameras over the last decade. We came to the conclusion a couple years ago that was the day. Good to see it confirmed from an actual study. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Buddy of mine who ran a lot of cams years ago said the same thing. Those big boys would start randomly showing up on cam doing "survey" trips into doe areas. Kind of like a check up. It is awesome.
Nothing for me this morning, hung a camera up on the sign and will probably be back on Friday morning!
I think I need to reschedule my Dentist appointment on the 14th. It's gonna keep me sidelined till the 17th at the earliest......So yeah, a phone call is in order.
I keep saying that late October is my jam... Rut is overrated for Bow hunting in my very humblest of humble opinions.
I love the last week of October, first week of November… all day sits in the Summit as much as possible Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Nothing beats a late October cold front. First 10 days of November will always be good, but there is something about a strong cold front from 10/20 - 10/31.
Bruh,,,nothing beats your snort wheeze/rattle sequence in a mid september hunt!!! I have yet to replicate it since September 16th.....
The 15th was our opener sometime ago and yes that's when movement during the day starts in earnest.. Yes sir farm verses big woods non farm totally different animals home verses camp years of Intel. You can then start drawing them in with sounds and smells.
Guess youll have to kill one and do an autopsy. But to kill one you need to know what they feed on so you can move in for the kill so you can gut it and see what it eats. Quite the paradox.
I sold 4 LW Alpha 2’s for $350 ea. They all sold within minutes. Its worth it to buy used and save $70-80. They are cast aluminum. Last forever. Not much depreciation besides the straps and those are cheap. FYI all those had set of 4 sticks with them. And 2 of them had rope mods on the sticks.
I'm satisfied, aside from forgetting to tell him friends and family and avoiding the $18 and change fee, it covered most of my climber and accessories. Which is out for delivery, Fedex usually gets here around 2 for afternoon delivery.
Only thing bad about the strong fronts is the strong winds that come with. I still prefer a calm high pressure crisp 27 degree morning, well I did. Not sure what I'll like on public, but can never go wrong with it.
