The boys and mom left a little bit ago. We had a great time in Grams pumpkin patch and left with quite the load of pumpkins to play with over the rest of month. They took 2Gator rides with Gramps. Played with A.J. rolling side over side down a small hill. Who needs a sled or slide..lol took a walk down to the new blind with mom so she can see one of the "safe" places I've been setting up for them when they visit. The boys loved! it. Played with the window coverings learning how to use them played peek a boo with mom. Me pointing out how it's bright red so visible on all sides, low to ground and rock solid and in easy view of the house.
I may have to get a fall Turkey sit in it with River. It was breeze and cold and the boys were cozy and warm not wanting to leave.
No hunt tonight and rain tomorrow but will keep an eye on that then decide.

Pretty much, but even when the moon is full I always want to be out for that first hour of daylight because anything can happen. Most times at this moon phase I'll sit from first light until 1:00 or 2:00 pm or I'll do what I did Thursday: Hunt the first hour, get down and get back on stand by the start of the midday (moon underfoot) movement period.

Many times I won't see anything, but this much I know: It does work.

I just got home, logged onto the forums and saw there was work to do. First I saw that I had deer to enter. When I went to look at the scorecard thread I saw that I had some "extra" posts to get rid of.

Anyway, congratulations to @buckeyehntr5, @Shocker99 and @Justin Goins on the kills! Great job guys!

Now I need to unload the truck and get the coolers moved to a shady location. The wife and I will process the buck and the doe tomorrow. My brother is coming for a visit Tuesday and then I'll be back after another doe on Wednesday.

Only saw 7 turkeys this morning. Just got back on stand 20 minutes ago. Good luck out there.

Just got up in the climber I was going to go to the state land but got out of the house late so this spot is convenient for me. I'm about 10 ft up maybe. I've never seen any good bucks on this property but lots of does. I'll try to post a pic in the next message because the service is bad here.

I had a doe come through right along the field edge and I saw something behind her a bit so I let her get past the open shot window. Next deer behind her was a button buck then another. She lucked out tonight. She was at 7yds.
