Good luck shocker. As for me, I'm like a crack addict waiting for my first big buck sighting this fall.
It’s been dead here this morning nothing but tree rats so far Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Dead Zone here in the Murder Mitten this AM. Haven't seen/ heard a thing other than the coon and one squirrel. Full moon = crappy AM hunts. Should have slept in.
Dead here as well… son in law shot his buck yesterday at 1:15 Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Oldnotdead may have to be changed to oldnotmoving. I sat a total of 9 hours in the cold yesterday. By 2a.m. there was not a cell in my body that did not ache. I just do not know how not moving can cause me so much actual pain EVERYWHERE. U Missed a surprise visit from Grandsons yesterday and they are coming back this morning to hit Grams pumpkin patch so not too upset about not being out. I know I asked this last year but anyone else having issues with long sits as they age. Now I know why some old people that just sit around are so miserable. I set my 20 ft stick ladder and will put out my new stand for a few sits this week. It's a crossing I've watched them use to come into and leave the plot area. Just above the start of the gully that flows through our place.I'm hoping it will be the best spot wind thermal wise. My milk weed will let me know fast.
Good luck shocker. I’m also thinking a very low hit. Besides the yardage, string clipping something will almost always hit lower as well. I had a jacket I always wore to 3d shoots when I first started doing them. It had a hood with draw strings to tie it. For the first couple shoots I’d hit low on occasion and couldn’t figure out why. I finally noticed that the left side string was all frayed at the end, the string hit it so much that it tore the plastic tip off the end. Gave me a low hit every single time
Alright I'm getting down. Zero activity. Going to move a stand from appx 200 yards to this spot, not getting any deer pics over there and there are fresh tracks all over here. No more lugging the climber back here.
Damn brother sorry to hear! I've had them once and it was awful. I have a very high uric acid level and get the gout in my left knee on the reg. Absolutely brutal, more pain then when I broke my wrist and the bone was sticking through the skin. My doctors finally have it regulated through meds, but I have a plethora of meds on standby in case I feel a gout flare up coming on. Hope you feel better soon!
