Better late than never. Left the stand at home and putting onbthe guillie suit. With a steady north wind going to hug the creek on the north side and see what I can find.

Another guy going on south side shortly and the other going to hunt it around 4pm

Change of plans. Walked in and literally 10 yards from my truck and it is loaded with acorns, scat and torn up. Thinking it wasn't within the boundary I continued on. Got about 75 yards in down the hill from where I was wanting to sit opening morning and set my bow down and went back to the truck. Wanted to grab some mesh, my bucket seat and the map. Looked at the map and first spot was well within the boundary.

Found what I think is a safe spot with the wind, set the bucket and mesh down and went and got my bow. Came back up and literally took me 5 minutes to find the camo bucket amd mesh. Felt like an idiot

Never hunted with this much signal either.

Not worried about the other 2 when they pull up. Is a power substation so I'm sure the deer hear truck doors and talking all the time when power crews do routine i spections/maintenance

Too convenient. Walked back to truck and grabbed another blind material. Have had these for years wanting to try it at the property I lost but found no reason for it.

Not knowing where they will come from felt too exposed still. Much better

    Good luck PM hunters!

Hope to get out for my first sit tomorrow afternoon...if it doesn't get too "breezy". They say gusts to 30 MPH. Good thing its thick where I plan to sit.

So freaking loud with traffic, rush hour gonna suck being primetime. I'm facing west, traffic on the road to the north screwing with me visually with movement catching my eye. No clue where they'll come from if they show.

Some of the most mucked up hunts have ended in success. Already been to my truck 4 times, almost too convenient

Oaks are loaded this year, so not sure when they are hitting this spot. Not really a staging area type of set up. Could be all nocturnal. Think I'll hunt this again in the morning with calm winds, especially if nothing shows this afternoon/evening. Plenty of food in front of me though.

Good luck guys and be safe.
All my prep and having a hard time getting out. Rain with winds had me go back.to bed...
So today I decided to start the A.J road walks midday because the property is officially off limits. 3 miles. Picked up info...buck fighting heard and A. J. alerted me to all'areas with deer and crossings. Then a bear trees that was completely shredded well up and over my head. All this from the road. Also usual human movement trails not there. This is snoopy dance info for me.
Today was also a monkey off back day. Packing up summer clothes and pulling winter bins, still working garden with covering hot peppers and picking corn. I still have broccoli, beets ,beans and swisschard growing with the other things making poppers and getting ready to freeze winter squash and cabbage.
My hunting begins in true earnest tomorrow. I want to be relaxed when I do. Son told me I need to get to camp for a doe...he's been hunting there and had 30 doe and fawn file past his stand the last time he was there.
    ...see ya in the morning....
