I use the same release. Mine is a couple of years old, but, unless there is a design change. You should be able to loosen up a set screw at the base of the thick part of the shaft and make it longer. I think you spin it counter clockwise to lengthen it. That's what she said. There is a youth model, so unless someone goofed in the Amazon warehouse, you should be good after adjusting it.
At least you had fun yesterday. I worked all day, cancelled my son's football practice due to poor attendance with less than half the team being able to make it. Never mind Thursday night has been practice night for six weeks now. So instead, I fought the power steering pump on my jeep until 11:30pm and woke up at 5:30 to start today. Oh, Happy Birthday to you and @dnoodles!
Might go out to the farm tonight and try to get the one buck I’m after there. I have a good wind to get close to the bedding he’s been using. Or I might just hunt the edge of it and kill a doe if given the opportunity. I’ll make a game time decision.
I haven't watched it, I honestly don't watch any hunting shows (Sorry BHOD) because none of them are relative to my sitution regardless of the walmart gear used or how pressured the public land is that they hunt. Smoke and mirrors. Are blotter reports available for game wardens/environmental police? Not saying I don't believe THP, but I don't believe THP. Be safe out there y'all!
THP has some episodes from last year in New York that you might enjoy. It seems similar to what you describe as your hunting.
I taught Raimann, #79 for the Colts, AP Statistics in high school. He is a rookie and had his first NFL start last night. He is from Austria and wanted to play football. He was a foreign exchange student and was hosted by an awesome family. The host dad play offensive line at Central Michigan. Bernhard and his host brother went on to play offensive line at CMU next to each other, Tyden is a guard. Bernhard studied actuarial sciences, which is statistics. It's been a pleasure watching his journey.
Just the small doe for me this morning, was a great morning to be out, tomorrow is going to be even better after that huge temperature drop
The only hunting related show I watch or listen to are select podcast episodes of Truth From the Stand. He has quite a few public land hunters on the show from NH,VT,NY and ME who hunt in similar conditions. If a hunter on a show describes hunting a spot (funnel pinch point, area conducive to buck movement) during the rut and says you have to hunt it 3-4 days in a row for a chance of seeing a buck, I'm all ears.
Sometimes we over complicate things. Just Hunt. Forgot about the "rules" and come up with your own game plan in your own hunting area. Another person's skill level and hunting area are not mine. Everyone has a slightly bit different overall level of difficulty built in to their hunting life. Only thing I know that helps me time after time is getting after it. What's the old saying, "when you are dumb you gotta be tough"?. Sounds about right for me.

Cold front doesn't roll in till tomorrow night. I was thinking about going out to my land and setting a second stand for a sit tonight, but the wind is totally wrong. So, looks like it will be an early morning set tomorrow. Wind stays strong from the north till Sunday pm, but kicks back up on Monday (bank holiday for some guy with a boat)...so looks like a few hrs in the stand this long weekend.
