Good morning sit today. I could hear the turkeys waking up. And had a couple pics of them flying down from the roost from my cell cam.

Saw my first set of horns today on a buck walking thru some thick stuff. I could make out that it was a deer with eyes, put the binos up on him and saw the horns. Not very big , I don't think legal either. But it was good to see horns. All in all good sit. Headed to the trk now. I'll be back out at the place where I shot my doe on Saturday.

Was really hoping this spot would have more buck sign. Only thing going for me is its deep in here and white oaks are dropping. I set up for an east wind and forgot the sun was gonna blast me in the eyes. Lol. Hopefully about 530 it gets below the thick trees and allows me to see.

Pretty cool find if nothing else today. Thought about this today. At some pt I need realize I'm almost 48 and can't drag frigging deer a mile mile and a half anymore...so why am I hunting so far deep?! Lol 20221004_141612.jpg

Got bored today and mapped out longest stand route from Uncle's place compared to new place.

Twice as far if I want to get back deep.... ugh

Drag em straight downhill to that water and bring in your inflatable raft to get them out. I'm telling you I'm thinking of more and more places with water access. Less walking and hopefully easier boating them out. If I got a big buck out here I'd have to make 2 trips that's for sure.

    Chit's getting real guys.

Literally just now got done cleaning my truck out from last year when I killed my buck. Found my 3 keepsake knives, still have to find my Steelers watch though.

Going to be nice being able to fit into my ultimate camo comfortably again. Realized I cannot do the jeans and flannel just yet. I pack everything in in pockets, both leg pockets and jacket pockets. Just never been able to get comfortable using a pack of any sort. I may go scout tomorrow or Thursday after work, depends on if a check gets here or not tomorrow, which day it will be.

I'll only have 2 hours to do so so not sure it is worth it with a 40 minute trek in.

    Happy anniversary!

Ours is on he 7th, and will be 15 years. Sadly, It'll be our last. Long story, /July/August/September were real sh!tty months that finalized the movement. My poor team mates have heard the whole story.

Self-care, Self-care, Self-care, Self-care is what it is all about now.

First, that spot is beautiful; second I think it looks exactly like a spot the Hunting Public guys did a drive on either last season or season before...pretty sure that was MO also.

Third and last- gutless and quarters.
