I think I'm gonna go out for an afternoon kill today. Gotta load up the E-bike and I'll be ready to go. I'm supposed to have a zoom meeting with another student in my cohort for a group presentation we are doing on trauma-informed-care, but she hasn't responded to my text yet. We were supposed to meet at 1pm. I think I'm just going to ignore her text after 1130.
Great idea! I was thinking of going to my deep rut spot this Saturday morning with the cooler temps Friday night and saturday
I'm thinking I just may have some real good hunting in about 3 years...pulled card when I went to pull tarp off garden.... it was a doe that first came in this morning...Also had these guys last night. I really do not believe they are this mornings spikes, theirs are way too short...hhhmmm that's a lot of yearling spike. No basket six, good 4 or 5's...hhhmmmm would those be with the older buck feeling their oats? I have never seen this many spikes on our property. We usually get a bunch of small 4,5,6 pts. Anyways not the point of post...the bean weed plot....apparently worked...you can see the many stems of stripped beans and I'm thinking the dug up spots all over, may be raccoon that I've got on the cams along with...skunk. Digging up grubs. Usually crow are in there but I'm thinking the thick weeds have deterred them. The frost hit hard last night and got some of the cow pea vines but the weeds protected a great deal of what is left. Still a bunch of soy bean pods in there.
All setup in a whit oak grove. Hoof prints all over. No sign of the white oaks dropping yet, but the deer have been checking quite a bit. Does on the menu, button bucks, 3 legged deer, A fawn will be a great way to test out the e bikes towing capabilities! Good luck to anyone else who is out!
Back at it!! Hopefully rain is gone until tomorrow. It’s been raining for 16 hours or more here. Deer should be moving. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Found several rubs all close to each other. Sitting close by to see if anything shows up tonight. Good luck to those who are out.
Surrounded by corn and in some thick stuff. Good lanes and wind is right if they want to move to the cut corn field early enough.
Just had 3 deer come out behind me at 45. Milling around away from me Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
