It’s beyond thick in this place so earlier this year I came in with the 4wheeler and made a trail that runs N to S and they read the script. But it’s still thick thick, I caught a tail flicker at about 30 yards and by the time I hooked my release they were at 15-20 and I picked the biggest one. A walnut fell to the west and all their heads snapped so I drew settled and squeezed it off. If that walnut didn’t fall idk if I would have been able to draw. You want to join in on some public land fun this afternoon? Going to land of no phone service, you know what land I'm talking about, haha
Had 2 come in behind me just after sunrise. The first circled and came up front and gave me a nice 15 yard broadside. I passed. Knew there was another deer back there. When I turned my head it snorted but never Took off more than 20 yards. Picked it up in the brush a few minutes later walking and feeding so must not have know wtf I was. Couldn’t tell if doe or buck. I’m awake now!
Awesome! Now you know you need to keep a pocket full of walnuts just for when this situation arises again.
Well I had a feeling he ducked my arrow. Just missed a buck on my land. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk
As soon as I found the arrow I looked up and saw a white belly! Sorry for no blood pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
