    This morning’s hunt didn’t end well. I haven’t lost a deer in a long time. It’s a low feeling but being with my 5 year old is helping. He was running to the ground blind so excited.

    I didn't make it out this evening. Fired up the furnace for the first time and glad I did with temps dropping late next week. High limit switch keeps popping so it puts the flames out but the blower keeps running.

    Had this problem after I broke the thermostat and I just simply reset it and it ran fine the entire winter. Ordered a new one but won't be here until Wed.

    Perks of being a homeowner.....

    Another guy went out this evening, I'll see what he thought about the south side of the creek in about 2 hours. Next Friday high in the 50's, hoping for some sort of westerly wind.

    Smaller Buck, 6 or 8, couldn't tell. I've never shot an opening day VT Buck, so I could not resist! Give it a few and then I'll go look.
