Gonna sneak in another hunt this year, my BIL drew a archery lotto in Ohio at Kill Deer Plains. Gonna go out for two weekends October 15/16 & 22/23. Been looking at the maps and the Section he drew “F” looks killer.
First Lite has their summer sale going on. Items 20, 30, and 40% off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah I have been eyeballin their Catalyst soft shell jacket for a couple of years now and nearly half off was more than I could take. Should have it in a week. If I have one complaint about FL, it is their shipping costs.
Think I'm pulling the trigger on the jacket, pants, and vest all 40% off. Save me $250 and have some high end gear for the next 5+ years.
Nice! From what I hear, that Catalyst vest is the cat's ass. You'll have to let me know how it all goes for you when you get to use all of it. I love the FL gear I already have.
What release does everyone use for hunting? Right now I use a index finger release but thinking about switching to a thumb release just don’t know for sure yet Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Only way to go, is a thumb release!!! Wish I would’ve switched much sooner. I shoot a Carter, Insatiable 2+ and love it!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heck, no idea? I think it's made by Scott's? I lost track or most things archery/ firearms years ago. If it works, it works.
Right now I actually have a Blackout Link from Bass Pro. I picked one up through a Rewards program because its cheap and I didn't want to spend real money on it incase it sucked, but I haven't found anything to dislike yet.
I go to the shop next weekend. Probably will ask to try a couple different releases. I like my release I have now but everyone around me says they wished they would have switched to a thumb release a long time ago. Just going to have to try it and see if its for me or not.
Took my boys to see the Full Draw Film tour last night. It was the first time my youngest went. He got his number called when they gave away the youth bow.
I have a truball blade mini right now. I have been shooting it for the past few years and have been really happy with it. Its a smaller framed release but I have shot well with it. I shot carter for years and I feel like they are some of the most popular thumb releases in the crowds I encounter, but once I got my hands on the blade, I was sold. I am running 2 of them now.. no issues with either of them!
Thats awesome! I have always wanted to hunt NoDak for deer. I hunted waterfowl there a few times and loved it. Its definitely a great state to visit/hunt. Looking forward to hearing about it!
I would be happy for any beans right now! I focus most of my home hunting to a 10ish square mile area. I would say most of the Ag fields in that area are corn or hay right now. I don't recall a year where I have ever seen this many fields planted in corn at once. I am honestly not sure what to expect come hunting season.
