    At the age of 36 as I embark on my 15th season of Whitetail hunting my 14th season bow hunting here I am awake at 4:20 am excited as any season I can remember.

    And not because I’m chasing a big target buck this year. I’m literally running 1 camera between 3 different properties and in past seasons I’ve run as many as 8 between 2 or 3 properties.

    I’m just excited to get out into the woods again. Watch the woods that I love so much come to life. Good luck to all - make it the best year you’ve ever had in all the right ways! Savor the time you do have… It will be gone again before you know it!

    I’m up but gonna slow down a tad. Still raining pretty good at the moment but supposed to be getting better in the next hour or so. This may be a time I’m not in set an hour before legal shooting light.

    Good luck out there everyone! Woke up to torrential downpour and some high winds, supposed to stop around 8am, think I’ll do some stuff around the house this morning and get out on some fresh sign for the evening hunt! Goodluck killers I’ll be following along from the couch!

    I'm up on stand. Luckily I was able to get to my stand this morning
    Water receded over 20 feet last night.

    Just got settled in the tree. Still raining pretty steadily. Supposed to clear in an hour or so. I’m ready when it does!!! Gonna get wet on the outside but hopefully worth it.

    I just rolled up on my spot. I almost hit a deer on the way here so maybe that's a sign. I got about 90 min till shooting light so I'm going to sit here and eat breakfast before I walk in. Good luck everyone. Let's all keeeeel sumthin!!
