Forecast seems to be getting a little better, by 8am I’m down to 50% chance of rain, have the rain gear in my ozone bag for the morning

This is a big duck hunting area. Holy hell with all the no trespassing and keep out signs. I had to walk a crazy way in bc whoever bought this public piece didn't negotiate the last 20 feet off the road into the property! Lol. Drove around and found the corn, got wind in my favor and look on the berm for where they are crossing to eat at night. Pushed in about 400 yds and I'm ready. These flat areas are terrible for a stable wind. Immediate shifts from perfect NE to iffy ESE. I'm hoping people enter to hunt from the easy side to the north and bump deer toward me as I'm down wind.

Have the absolute worst possible wind tonight and tomorrow for where I want to hunt. I'd be both upwind and uphill from where they'd be coming from.

Alarm is set, actually don't have to change a thing from waking up for work. Just drive 8 miles past where I'd normally turn.

I foresee an absolute chit show taking place  .

Yeah, that's where I want to try to scout in for an evening hunt. No way I want to try going in blind in the dark both trying to stay in the boundary and keep quiet.

Almost thinking about scrapping the morning hunt and go in about 9:30-10. I have to kill two antlerless before I can even contemplate a buck.

I think others hunt back in there illegally so I have to find my cable locks if I want to leave a stand in tree. Pretty risky with it being a lone wolf even then.

Nope. I’ve been relaxing, watching the forums, drinking beer and watching movies or a football game if one is on.

I’ll probably get on stand tomorrow morning but I’m not overly motivated.

The temps are down and I’ve gotten some pics on my cameras. The only daylight pics I’ve gotten are does but one of my 10 points was in front of my stand 2 hours before daylight this morning.

If I do hunt in the morning then I may shoot a doe if one presents a shot.

2 dudes walk in 1 hr before dark talking and crossbow hunting. I could hear them 100 yds away talking. Even after I whistled they waved and turned around, yet held a normal conversation. Ughhh. They certainly didn't enter from the public part.

Now they are on the other cut 100 yds away talking and walking toward bedding. I can hear them over 100 yds away.
