    I’m up, haven’t sat in this area since 2014. Lots of acorns on the ground when walking in, so the deer could be anywhere.., I’m sitting between 2 of my plots on a ridge. Don’t know what to expect. image.jpg Good luck everyone!

    Hunt 1 with stand and sticks 20220927_164059.jpg ...never made it to the stand

    Hunt 2...Hung 1 set of sticks and walked up with linesman rope attached. Then it turned into a royal CF. So I bailed and got my climber and readjusted. Not expecting much action but hey I'm hunting.

    Just got busted by something less than 10yds behind me. Crazy how quiet deer can be. Very light wind and I didn’t hear it one bit. Don’t think it smelled me. I am looking directly west where I’m at and was raising my arm to block the sun to look out in the field.

    More favorable SSE winds the next few days. Hitting the south side of the property. Still haven’t made my way into the thick stuff yet. Think I’ll wait until the next cold front to do that.
