An hour and a half into the sit and I just saw my first squirrel. Nothing else.

It’s over 20 degrees cooler than it was a couple of days ago. It’s a perfect morning.

    Something just isn’t right here.

That’s strange. I’ve seen the most deer this morning than the past 2 days but my dad has only seen 1 doe. The troubling part for me is, I’ve seen 9 does this morning and only 2 fawns and the one was tiny. We know of 3 coyotes on the property but dad got one of them on Saturday evening.

If I had to get down then I wouldn’t see movement. Wouldn’t that mean I’d win?

    No deer sighted yet.

I’m gonna sit another 20 minutes. A morning like this deserves at least a three hour sit.

I was in Salem, Mass this last week. I had a witch put a curse on you. She said the curse will be lifted once you wear pink panties!

That’s it for this sit. I’m out.

Maybe I’ll go bass fishing tomorrow.

Owe ya a dollar, Chief. I don't think it was a good deal for either of us.

I'm in your boat....had a lot of oaks die off. Hopefully, it's not oak wilt but there is a distinct possibility as it has been in our area for some time.

Gonna have to get some chestnut trees in and hopefully the deer will become accustomed to them in short order

She got to 7 yards from bedroom window.
    Was looking at my cat.
At one time, there were 9 does and 11 fawns within 25 yards.
I was hoping they'd leave the acorns alone in the yard till late season but alas..
    It's beautiful here now.
    Leaves changing colors, cooling off.
    Feels good to be alive.
