No deer yet. I had 4 gobblers and 2 hens come by but season doesn’t open for a couple more weeks on turkeys. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ugh! Low blood sugar or high Blood sugar? I suffer from low blood sugar/hypoglycemia, on top of all my other medical issues. I always carry at least 2 nutra grain bars with me in the woods to regulate my blood sugar level if needed.
Been limiting my sugar intake and calories lately. Didn't eat lunch and it cost me good. I should have known better. I hiked in and didn't find what I was looking for. Came out and drove to another spot. Start entering in on the public and some yahoo starting yelling at me from the private fields. 3rd spot. Walk more and can't find sign. Low blood sugar=guy on private shouldn't be yelling at me bc it's not in his favor. Lol
I definitely can relate. I've had those days. Some I forced a hunt anyway and they usually don't end up any good anyway or I just go home and be with the family. You can feel when its not right and all you can do is listen to your body. There is always tomorrow.
I hope I don’t regret passing this 3.5 year old 9 point at 30 yards Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I sure did two 8 points, three spikes and a doe & fawn. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I think he's over 3.5? Some older deer just don't get "big" Happy bday John. Had those days myself VS.
Wow! Another “no deer moving” sit on a perfect evening. I left my gear in the tree and I’ll go back in the morning. If I don’t see a deer in the morning I’m hanging the bow up until later in the year unless I can make another trip somewhere. They just aren’t moving here, but they don’t have to since the ground in the woods is practically carpeted with acorns now. Maybe I’ll do some bass fishing for a couple of weeks.
