This got my blood boiling swamp! Ive had a really rough year mentally, emotionally. Im ready to get back to what i love and you guys are a huge part of it.
my biggest gripe about saddle hunting was the realization that the freedom and unrestricted feeling i got caused me to move Wayyy too much! It was partially striving for a more comfortable position and part playing out imaginary situations in my head for practice. I would catch myself practicing different shot angles and positions and then a alarm would go off im my head like “Quit moving you IDIOT!” But when every setup and tree and situation is different and unique you almost have to! Are you guys still using Tethrd? Thats what im using but ive heard great things about the Latitude from the cool hip 20 something year olds at my work who are in the know. Comfort being the main topic. Im with you as far as succumbing to the thought of a comfortable hang on. I still wont sell my Lonewolf or milleniums. Im most interested in finding a solid platform. Using phantom now and heard about flex issues with the one you mentioned in a post awhile back (cant remember the model). Have you settled on a solid platform? Also as far as stick go i may buck up for infalts. Holt and many others said its the way to go…idk. I know you spend time at this stuff. Feedback?

LFTS would be detrimental to you Justin. Honestly its a huge handicap and burden. Stick with doing what you do best. Creating killer content and killing deer. LFTS is kinda like the Bad News Bears of deer hunting:bow:. Imho that is! Id love to see you in the thread this season though! We are a special bunch

This is me every day on FB and IG.

On a side note - I finally ventured in the woods yesterday for the first time since turkey season. Go me! I pulled a bunch of cameras that I had out since last year and got 5 fresh cameras out. Now we'll see what deer start showing up.

Next order of business - finish setting up my bow and start shooting it.

Is this a new bow you’re going to set up?

I'm setting up a V3 27 right now for a 31 vs 27 comparison video. I got the string and cables put on this weekend, then realized I left the rest in my desk at the office and didn't feel like driving in to get it.

I hope to finish building that bow this week so we can get out and start doing some shooting. Right now, I'm planning on taking the 27 on my antelope hunt next month and the 31 on my elk hunt in September.

I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts on shooting the 27. It didn’t go well for me.

Jody at Mack’s Prairie Wings suggested the 31 for me. I guess I just don’t have good enough form to shoot a bow with an ATA that is shorter than my draw length.

I’m starting the process of working on a flashback video from our 2009 season, which was the first year we attended the G2G, our first year on YouTube, my first self filmed deer kill and when I had my Freak Daddy encounter. Should be pretty cool.

The only sub-30 inch bow I've owned was my Z7 Xtreme, and I loved that thing. I'm optimistic that the 27 will be a solid shooter for me, but only time will tell.

Too bad it didn't crash at a kids birthday party, that would be one for the books!

I didn’t know Virginia grew monsters like that!
If he keeps hanging around the highschool. It might be worth pulling security on archery opening day. It’s important to make sure those kids stay safe ofc :)

Here’s a question that’s been nagging at me for some time.

When it comes to checking trail cameras, why do some people say they’re pulling “chips”? I’ve heard it on here and I’ve even heard it on hunting shows.

    It’s a card. It’s an SD card. It’s not a “chip”.

This ranks right up there with folks saying they were hunting over a deer “scrap”.
