We’ll I for once am wayyyyy behind on my season. Bow is all set up and shooting well but I did a lot of scouting while snow was on the ground but since turkey season haven’t done much at all. Need to get out and move cameras around as the cell ones have been Dead for the past several months…. MD I unfortunately lost my awesome property from last year due to the neighbor getting to hunt it. Still have one property down there but we struggled on that one last year. Gear wise I have joined the Saddle Bois and also sold all of my old hunting clothing and upgraded to Sitka!! Looking forward to getting out there this year, my goal for the year is to fill the freezer with does, and to finally get my PA archery buck!

 

That Sitka gear and saddle will put you over the top… no need to scout.

LOL no joke I love my Sitka gear I’ve coughed up serious coin for with immense hesitation. I do think it is not the best camo though and IMO sticks out more than some at least with my human eye….but dang that stuff is designed so incredibly well and dear lord can it help keep me on stand

ive had an awful year so far as far as health issues.

ive been shooting my bow a fair amount & ive done some scouting.

My goals, hopefully fill all 3 deer tags filled in Pa. HUNT in NY I don't necessarily have to kill something

celebrate my 25 Yr Anniversary Oct 05.

Now that the 4th is over, it is time to start ramping things up. Had a good shooting session this morning out to 30 yards. Still need to get some new strings on the bow!

 

Went out today and got cams hung over minerals for some inventory. I sweated my arse off! But that’s the furthest prop I hunt from my house so I have been putting it off, glad to have that done. I also got some pathed cleaned out and cut some lanes for some new stands I’m planning on hanging shortly.

Camera are on fire with mostly does but that ok.

When the does are the bucks will come.

That's a good one, great big boar.

 

To my surprise the farm where I hunt the most is having corn on it this year. First time ever for crops here and there is roughy 13 acres of corn planted on the 90 acres. Looking forward to seeing how it changes and enhances the prop.

 

Another round of card pulls is in the books. I have a definite shooter and a buck that is all brows and beams so far. We did a little creek fishing at the property too!

 

Howdy boys,

Been getting geared up for KY trip 1st week of September. Drove down and scouted last wkend. Things are looking hopeful. Got at least 2 shooters on cam consistently during daylight in beans or headed to beans.

Dang that’s a dandy Holt! I’m heading out to hang some cams and get some stands set on the local farm today. Have to clean some brush out too, just picked up a brush hog for the skid steer gonna make some new access routes to some stands to keep me out of the fields for am hunts.

 

Heading down south to our buddies farm for the first time since shed season. His dad and uncle have been slamming in food plots and keeping up with things. We’re pretty excited to check cams and see how it looks.
