The trailer was actually made for the bike. I ordered it from Bakcou when I ordered the bike.

I’m up for the last sit of the trip. I have about an hour until daylight.

I crashed early last night and woke up at 4:00 so I figured why not get in a tree early.

I probably should have cropped the pics but I thought they looked pretty cool so I just left them the way the guys took them.

Nothing is moving here today. To be honest I’m kind of glad.

Just the thought of dealing with another deer this morning hurts but I’d sure do it.

I’m climbing down. That’s it for this trip. I’m going to pack some stuff up and then relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

    I’ll head home tomorrow morning.

All set up for the last sit of the seeeon, I’ve had deer on my foodplot consistently for the past couple days, they were in here this morning as well bumped one on the way in, not in the bedding area I am hoping they will come from! Beautiful view for the last sit, 30 yards to the center of the foodplot Image1643572604.803931.jpg Image1643572642.839170.jpg

I'm back home now. I was sitting in the camper after the morning sit thinking why in the world don't I just winterize the camper now and get out of here so I can sleep in my own bed tonight.

I have some chores to do and then I'll rest up for a few days or a week. Around Monday (or before depending on the weather) I'm going back to Arkansas to get after that big buck I was zeroing in on. I've got him pegged now, but like I said in my team thread there was no way I was going to pass on the smaller buck that gave me an opportunity.

Part of me really wanted to stay and get right back in there, but I knew the spot needed a break. We didn't disturb the area the big buck traveled at all. Also, I was getting pretty burned out.

If I don't get the big buck I'll try to use my last Arkansas tag on a doe.

Oh yeah! One thing I forgot to post about that buck recovery.

First, this area was new to me. The older club member who told me about it and showed me how to get in there failed to tell me something.

So, to get to where I'd been hunting I'd been riding my bike south about 8/10 of a mile down a road, turning and riding through three small fields west for about a mile total bike ride. Then, at the end I was walking west almost a half mile through the woods, crossing a small creek and then crossing a huge creek on a fallen log.

Okay, fast forward to the buck recovery. We found him out in an old dried up pond 300 yards south of where I shot him. He had crossed an old grown up road that ran the levee of the old pond. We dragged him back to that road and the guys helping said "Okay, just go back, get your bike, go back out to the road but turn right and ride south to where the road crosses the creek. You can walk your bike across the creek there and then ride this road west right to the deer."

I let that soak in for a few seconds and then I replied "Wait, you're telling me that I could have ridden my bike here, stashed it and then walked 250 yards north to my stand???"

He said "Yeah, I guess I could have told you that but you look like you could use the exercise" and then all three of the guys helping track the buck busted up laughing.

That old jerk. He's a good guy though. He told me later that he had just forgotten about it but I'm not so sure.
