Walked for about 4 hours. Wasn't really impressed with that side of the lake but I did find a couple good downwind trails that may be something to look at next season. I also thought I was real close to finding my Confederate gold today, but as Usual I didn't.

If it wasn't so cold the swallowtail butterflies would've led you right to the gold too...

I’m up for the afternoon session. I did move 125 yards WNW from where I was.

This spot has potential. All of the deer traffic I’ve observed since Friday has either come from here, crossed here or went here.

I’m just taking an observe/adjust approach to this new location.

I’m facing south. Directly in front of me is the thicket around the creek.

They cross the creek in front of me going north/south. They also travel across in front of me at about 30 yards going east/west.

Oh, and double trees are great, especially when the other tree blocks the afternoon sun and gives me a great place to hang my bow.

Now for the misadventure I had after the morning sit.

I walked out to my e-bike, put my bow sling on my bow and without thinking about the ground thawing and getting soft I hung the bow on the handlebar.

While I was putting my phone away the bike fell over. I kind of saw it in slow motion. The sight hit first, the bow stopped and then the 80 pound bike slammed down on it.

The bow is fine but it did knock sight around pretty bad. It’s a Spot Hogg Fast Eddie XL.

When I got back to camp I looked at it. The screws that put tension on the movement were loose and the whole sight rattled. The second and third axis were way off. Actually it almost looked like the sight housing arm was bent down slightly.

I finally managed to get it dialed in again. I hope. I had left my release in my pack in my tree so @cantexian let me use his.

Does were blowing to the south across the creek. Knew it wasn’t me. Then this walked out.

I’m back at the truck. Didn’t see a thing. Probably because of all the deer blowing at the bobcat earlier.
