I’ve been on stand since an hour before first light. Once again I’ve only seen squirrels.

Time to find a new spot I guess.

I just had 5 does walk by at 50 yards.

I just can’t seem to pick the right tree.

This is a frustrating game of cat and mouse.

Those 5 does were right by the tree I was in the day before yesterday. That morning I saw the does 55 yards away and they were where I am now.

I swear it’s about enough to make a preacher cuss.

@LittleChief i was in the same boat last night only i didnt see anything. Of course it was too dark by the time i neared the corn to see if they were in there. 15 deer in the clover made me think it was gonna be a slam dunk 3 days later.

Ita tough on big public land when there are no clearly defined trails. They come and go anywhere in these flat bottoms.

Are there any funnels of bottleneck pinch points that you could move closer too?

No, not really. Wattensaw is a tough WMA to hunt.

Still in Arkansas? I would have thought you went home after all the rain this weekend to hit the last few days of your MO season.

This is a good time to hunt Wattensaw. The White River is rising and pushing the deer west. Movement gets much better when that happens.

I’m going to go home Thursday and hunt the last few days of the MO season.
