Went out for a hunt/scout mission to the public flooded timber place i hunted last couple years. Me and my crew left it alone this year and went in to check it out. Man did it get pounded by other hunters. Dont think ill waste another hunt there this year but got 3 trees picked out to hunt next year. Also checked the 2 cams by my house.

We do Have a day roamer that was cruising through from day after thanksgiving until december 7th. No pics after that but we do have huge fresh tracks as of yesterday. Pulled these cams and put up a cell cam. Dates and time are way way off. I had to go by date and time of when my pic was on there putting cams up and do the math. Not a giant but one i hope makes it through the winter. I know, i know. Pics of pics. :whip: FCEBEB86-212C-4ADC-B113-2A73A854763F.jpeg 89B19CD7-E23A-467D-8518-247D3530BAAB.jpeg 94197B73-557A-4535-B345-CD81C4DDF062.jpeg

Happy New Year. This will be my first new year hunt. The last day of season. So far warm dead quiet walk in damp and, grey. Been watching squirrels one must have worms...it runs side ways and tips over a lot when eating. Think their eating basswood seeds.
Hubby was up at 5 when I left. Think he's feeling better,THANK GOD!.
Wind is complete opposite of what they predicted. I've got to give them due credit for consistency the entire hunting season

So perhaps they were all out partying last night and slept in. On such a nice day I thought I'd at least see turkey scratching around.
Give it. Another hour bladder willing.

Guess you talked yourself out of that sit.....

Coldest sit? Minus 12. Thankfully there was no wind.

Saw plenty of deer just nothing close enough to shoot.

You gotta move "south". It's a balmy 19 here.

Hand warmers have been in short supply the past 2 years. I should say the "body warmer" have been. Those tiny hand warmers are everywhere.

Think I will be looking at the battery operated warmers for next year.

I’m a wuss when it comes to cold weather so I stock up on toe warmers, body warmers and adhesive body warmers. All of these are just a supplement to my wool layers and my heated vest, and I live in the south.

75 here today. My only 2 days off work over 2 plus weeks is this weekend. Spending it with my kids instead of hunting the last day of the season. Miss em too much.

    Good luck everyone!

Got busted. Got downwind a bit to far for a shot.
Dammit, I really don't like educating coyote. So much harder in the future to get them.
Cold but very beautiful out there.

Love the small handwarmers, never had much luck with toe warmers though?

That was me when everyone in the house hunted. Lol

I've trained myself to not wear gloves/mitten until it gets below 25 ish. And then it's generally a golf/batting glove. That works as well when you are sweating in early season.

I love those toe warmers. I bought one of those rechargeable hand warmers. So far it seems pretty decent.

I might be interested in the rechargeable hand warmers, but they seem like they’d be a little bulky and just one more thing to recharge. Plus, if one or both happened to fall out of my pocket I’d be screwed if that’s all I had.
