    yeah, me too problem is there hasn't been hardly any yet from mid-MI on down. Effing La Nina...

    never seen a season so bereft of snow. Plenty of cold, but no snow.

    I was hoping this deer would make it through the season, but it didn’t. I told my son in law that if he shot it he would have to do a full body mount thinking the cost would deter him. In this case he specially hunted this deer for 2 months with a bow and gun. He missed it once and was so tore up about it he couldn’t put a sentence together when he called me about the miss. Now that’s buck fever at its finest and why we all hunt.

    Even though it is my lease I will not tell my family that hunts it with me what they can and can’t shoot. Deer hunting should always be shoot what trips your trigger! So a full body mount it is. At 2K I thought he’d let her walk!

    The caveat to this is that I killed Piebald buck back in 15 that I hunted for a couple of years so I know his desire and don't fault him for shooting it!

    I’m set up on a different farm in what I now call the dirt bike stand. I hung this climber the day before yesterday. I was told I could hunt here this trip.

    I found out yesterday that the younger son of the farmer has been hunting here and he doesn’t want me to shoot a buck.

    Well, I guess that’s okay, but since there is no chance of killing a buck for the contest I brought my TC Encore this morning. It is muzzleloader season here after all.

    I don’t have a single gun kill yet so Lord help the first doe that shows up.

    This will be my only sit here. I wouldn’t be here now if I hadn’t pulled my climber out of the T woods last night. While I like killing does I don’t care for not being able to shoot a buck if one shows up unless I’ve already filled my tag.
