Warm and windy here today, and tomorrow! I'll be cutting more firewood. I'm sure we're going to pay for this weather somehow.

Good Luck, to all those still hunting! I'll try the end of this week.

Just had a doe come running in and give me a 30 yard shot but I didn’t take it thinking maybe a buck would be behind her.

    Nope. Coyotes.

I would guess you shot low because you shot from a position you are not used to.

When I practice shooting my bow sitting on the ground, for turkey season, I shoot low. It frustrates me to shoot low. Not sure why it is, but better to know than to find out when shooting at an animal.

If you’re talking about the coyotes we don’t shoot them here.

The coyotes are the farmers friend here.

I wish I’d shot that doe now because I don’t think anything else is going to come by this morning.

I’ll give it another hour though. The wind chill is finally above freezing.

Hey y’all! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the past month. I’ve been swamped with school, trying to get caught up, and now I have all of my end of the semester papers due within the next week. I’ll be getting out for the bonus archery season starting December 22.

I got an awesome text Friday morning from my dad. It had been about 15 years since he shot his last deer, and this was his first with a shotgun.

You are hard core. I give you a lot of credit for getting that buck with all of the tough conditions you had to deal with. Congratulations.
