Let's hope you knick the heart and he bleeds out on the inside.

If the X on the pic is the spot you hit him then he will bleed, but live to see another day most likely!

I’m hoping it’s a freak thing and I went through that heart.

On the shot he mule kicked, ran 10 yds stopped, and stood there. I nocked another arrow while he was standing there for 20 sec, then he blew out of there.

Arrow was buried to with like 4” exposed. Muscle all over fletchings. Got on first blood within 5 yds prior to him stopping. And climb back up in my stand.

Most likely I got him right behind the front leg just below the heart. But there is a chance that I got him and the head was so sharp he didn’t know what hit him?

I actually had that happen to me twice. The broadhead was so Sharpe that the deer didn't know it was even hit. One just walked 15 yards and fell over in its tracks. The other did exactly what you described. He was a 250 lbs buck. Ran 50 yards and just stood there for 30 seconds, then fell over dead. I though I completely missed him and was trying to take a 2nd shot when he fell over.

Small nine they are moving seen a bunch of deer. There is another buck to my east rubbing a bunch of saplings. Looks like the scene from Jarassic Park where they lower the cow in the cage. Can’t see the buck.

Finny still holds the title for the most epic buck track on LFTS thread. I can't remember the year, 2014 or 2015?

Hoping this deer is dead, but I am not confident. My best guess is a superficial wound. Starting to be my calling card. It was an easy shot too. IMG_2102.jpg
