I had a horrible hunt tonight. I got in at a decent time. The spot I wanted to go already had a truck, so I went to plan b. I take my time going in about 1 1/2 hours later when I was about to setup, I spot a couple drops of blood. So look around and see that it's a blood trail. So instead of setting up, I followed the trail. It started picking up and followed it right into the very bedding I was going to hunt. 50 yards later it leads to a gut pile. Someone was in there this morning and shot a deer. Found the broadhead marks in the pile, made a perfect double lung shot. So at this point I'm out of options for this property, just head back to truck and go home. To later to drive to another property. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
About 10 minutes before legal light it sounded like a big body deer was walking right toward me from the far ridge doing the traditional crunch crunch crunch. For whatever reason at about 50 yd out the deer just stopped. I'm not sure if he just started feeding or he caught my wind and slinked out of there but I was excited for just a brief second
Is this the same place as last night? Sounds like a 50 yard move is in order if so. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
