If i dont kill a good buck im at least stopping on the way home for the next best thing. Double cheeseburger, chilli cheese fries and a very large beer
On this day in 2016, the small buck that put me in the 200 club for the first and only time... Little bump in front shoulder is the G5 Montec that failed to punch through the hide.
The one time you ignore it is when you finally look and see the ass of a wide buck just walking away.....
Monday is first day back to work, unless I lose smell and taste between now and then. Won't be back out until Friday and will have bow and gun with me.
I wanted to share this with you guys because most non-hunters just think we're all a bunch of cowboys. But there are many reasons we hunt. Here is one I'd like to share. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Beautifulic Jim. Weird day. Snowed most of it. Bout 4"totall. This morning was slow, late morning/ mid-afternoon was smoking hot and the last 2 hours not a deer was seen. 3 Juncoes died whilst crashing into my back window.
When the scrapes go cold it usually means lock down has arrived. I like to blind call with estrous bleats during lock down, hoping to attract one that just got done with a hot doe and is looking for the next one. Scrapes will fire back up after lock down for a bit as they look for the last stragglers.
Saw one of the biggest does I’ve ever seen tonight. Just a giant trophy doe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
