Hard to say VT. At that rate he may bleed out pretty quick. Good Luck!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Temp drop 10°,rain snow , winds picked up. Buck now reclining on the job. Portrait of an old frozen tired turd..lol Congrat on a nice buck!
Notta. Figured there would be some action in the thicket after seeing those two little bucks go into it last night. Seems the bucks just pushed the does out and they aren’t there.
Soooo, I do not believe he has come out of the thicket. Rain may only be from 1-3 now. So I'm gonna go get a bite to eat and come back.
Dead over here. Switched stands. 0 shots around us this morning. Day after a big storm and cold front thought they would be moving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Had to come down off the ridge. Wind shifted and wasn’t going to be good. I’m down in a low spot, a funnel between a swamp and a steep part of the ridge. I know these are only checked at night but it’s my only option with this wind. Strong front rolling through this afternoon. Severe thunderstorms and strong wind sheers. I need to be outta here by then!
Just had a small fork or 3 point wander by at 60 yards. He was walking away from me and I gave him a couple doe bleats. Just made him start trotting away. Not quite there yet here.
I’m burnt out. My last day, but not sure I can even make it out for the afternoon. I’m dozing off out here this morning, despite seeing a couple bucks. 7 straight days has taken its toll
Winds stopped swirling it's cleared, but damage done. Feeling cold and damp, decoys blown over . Giving it half hour then headed in to dry off and warm up. Here's to hoping something shows.
I am absolutely bewildered. Not a single deer spotted. And very few gun shots heard. Found a few scrapes, but nothing fresh, and those didn't even look like they've been hit in a couple of days. 1 old rub. I heard one deer blow an hour before sunrise. 98% sure it didn't wind me, with the wind direction, but there were only two other guys in the woods. I don't know I can't find deer, this is crazy. And to rub salt in the wound, 2 does jump across the road a few miles down the road. As I was leaving.
Just had a shooter 8 sneak in behind me 10 yrds.couldn't move and when he finally ignored leaning decoy I grunted him stop. But gave me a Texas heart shot. Didn't want to risk it. He semi circled and went up 0ver ridge. Crap! Nice buck too...10 yrds ....
Talk to Joe, he will teach you the intricacy of the butt shot! Joking aside, sounded like a great encounter Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Getting ready to head to the stand. High of 70 and a low of 32 tonight. Should be interesting. Let's see how many squirrels I can count Sent from my SM-G950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
