Gun opens on the 20th....you best be putting me in your prayers till then seeing you talked me into this...
Good luck ...though that might work better on a waterway than a road way...hahahaha Ya, I know dumb, but it made me laugh..
Missed a good morning to hunt… expected the front to be here with high winds. Woke up and winds not bad and rain stopped about 6am. Son of a biscuit. Going to try an all day sit Saturday after all of this moves through the next 2 days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Clear here. Wife just sent a pic of the deer in the front yard. Nothing in the woods where I’m at. Pretty morning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Happy veterans day to all my brothers and sisters who have served, or are currently serving. Good luck to all the killers out this morning! I decided to get caught up on schoolwork for the next 2 days (Rain/front tomorrow). That leaves me with 3 days to get it done.
I woke up at 2:30 and looked at radar, thought about it. Glad I decided not to, from the time I would have been headed to stand until now, wind driven rain. 3 tenths of an inch with winds gusting near 25. I might try again tomorrow. No promises though I think shotgun season in IL is going to be a big one this year. This rain and wind along with tomorrows winds and freezing temps coming back, leaves are going to really come down and open things up.
Thanks Joe. I actually feel pretty good now but the garbage in my lungs is breaking up and I'm coughing it up like crazy. I could hunt if I wanted to push it. I did it here before and actually arrowed a public land buck in between coughing fits. I wasn't willing to risk it this morning though because it rained last night and I knew sitting in the cool damp air would be a big mistake. I'll see how the day progresses and I might get out this afternoon. It's supposed to get up to 61 degrees here and the wind is going to be out of the WNW which is perfect for my valley.
Just watched another short tined wide 6 or 8 70yrds infront of me in the swamp. Forgot binos, but I think they have a mineral block directly in front of the blind.. he was very intent on licking that one spot. Lol Illegal but thinking to keep deer down there and not coming in around the end of fence right here. It worked, I wouldn't have shot him though. Nice main beams will look better with some nice tines Starting to wish I had a newer phone just for the cam.
So those two came in from the opposite direction of the fight across the street. OK a glimmer of hope. I also noticed blowing up the one pic he was making a scrape right there bringing the big bobbin head decoy down might be a plan.
My pet 4pt came out. He must run the show over here. I never see anything else but him. Sent from my Z719DL using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
