I'm not talking about any more of my shots unless I have the animal in my hands and then I'll let you all know. So that will probably be next year. I reposition my Stan 300 yd and left it out there to force myself to come back tomorrow because I'm so dejected.

I'm not good with pep talks, but are you aware of anything you might be doing? Are your misses similar in occurence? Ie.. always low and left, just low? You can obviously kill deer, you do it every year. Do you stop them or let them stop on their own? Maybe you rush the shot if you stop them and never get fully settled?

I know I got tired of shoulder hits and fizzled out blood trails, losing shafts, broadhead and lighted nock. $30+ arrows and nothing to show for it.

I found my current aim point on accident with my 2013 buck. Thought I hit too high and liver only to see him loop out and crash 20yds later. Other than my Swampshot in 2018(he spun around as I released) all of my shots have been in that general area. If I miss by 2 inches any direction I'm still golden. Haven't had more than a 60yd track and that was this years buck. I think he was adrenaline rushed from just being in a fight.

Not sure man. I think I need to go back and increase the size of my pin. I played around that a few months ago and that pin seemed to seem to be a little bit easier to see at the moment of truth. At 1 point in my bowhunting career and I know the sounds probably far fetched, I shot over 20 deer in a row and crush them all. Never missed one of them. Maybe maybe my eyes are just getting older or I'm not able to control my emotions. Not really sure.

Bears, I've always heard 'center of center' (east/west and north/south) as the aiming point.

Funny, I actually checked VA non res cost for a bear tag (seems like it was $500+), since you were seeing so many...just seemed a bit steep for me and I'm thinking of a November trip to the NC mtns for a bear /deer hunt (I already paid my $5 for my NC res bear tag)...

Is your peep too big maybe? I really don't know the ins and outs to what affects what and what not.

Haven't used the peep for over a decade. I know that affects my consistency but I cannot stand those tube peeps. They seem to always screw up so if there is an alternative to that I'm open for it.

I'm calling it for tomorrow, I'm not going to get soaked only to have the winds kick up in return.

Been consistent at showing heavier rains right at legal light, which would be cut back due to heavier cloud cover.

    Pouring me a whiskey shortly.

By tube you mean having the tube?

I didn't even know they still sold them.

Thought everything was tubeless these days, served into the string.

They have different diameters of the inside diameter to match up with your sight body.

I can't imagine life without a peep while I kniw some do and are successful.

Negative, punch em 1/2 way up n down and right behind the shoulder just like deer. That rumor pisses me off! But what do I know?
I'm peepless also. Shoot a kisser button but I don't shoot over 30 yards. I shot with a large peep for years but didn't like it for the thick cover I typically hunt. Kisser is faster to get anchored.

Only seen one more doe n 2 fawns after that buck busted that doe out.
Crackn beers n watching deers. I could get used to this. Lol

The guy who got me going had me draw so the string touched the tip of my nose. He then set a kisser button. Then served in a peep.

If you maintain your form, you can close your eyes, come to anchor, open your eyes and you would be looking thru the peep

I don't use a kisser, but I practice that all the time. Pull it back, set your anchor and open eyes. If I'm not looking through the sight window centered in peep I anchored wrong.

I got a mole on the back of my neck. My thumb would be over that. Pretty much have me 3 points.

All I know is when I used to shoot tourneys, my 300 round average when from low 270s to 295.

Shooting from a tree stand creates it own dilemma. Holding the bow arm down while drawing can slightly change your form. It affects some people more than others.

would that have been the first bear LFTS!? I should have sat this afternoon but opted for a nap after work instead - rain never did start coming down hard where i am until not long ago. I will be out there in the morning.

Crap, I was hell bent on going, now I’m not so sure. Think I’ll get up in the am, and take another look.
    I’m further south, Jackson Co
