The things one will do to get a signal. Probably look like I shop at Wal Mart daily.

Seen a dork spike at 8:00. Just had a 2 1/2 year old cruiser at 10:15. Didn't change course for a grunt, probably a good thing may have shot him.

Very last secomd at the truck I opened the door, grabbed card reader and fresh card. Took a different path to pull card, got it switched and headed towards stand. Heard a heavy deer take 2 jumps. Didn't blow or bolt, use a green headlamp and didn't see eyes as I passed.

Got about 45 yards from stand, look to the left and can see 4 eyes and a deer body. Assuming a buck and doe but could not see antlers on the back 2 eyes. Didn't blow either just left in a hurry.

Got in stand and was looking at card, have cam on video, nearly puked at what I'm certain I bumped.

Back to no signal and few and far between deer.

Didn’t go out this morning. I always regret it, but needed to catch up on some sleep. Refreshed, about to grab the climber and go deep.
I think the next couple days may be rough, 69 on Wednesday, Ugh. But then a 15 degree drop the rest of the week.
    Is what it is.
    Good luck out there!

Lol No but I'm hunting areas where several properties come together. I'm not seeing or hearing them on us or the other properties. Also they normally try and pick or drop off up their fawn early evening/ morning.
That's been going on for years and years here. Lots of fresh tracks on all the trails though. I'm thinking setting alarm for 2:30 a.m. Wednesday and hitting camp. I have a doe tag for there as well as the archery.. I'll hunt one stand then check my white pine stand for safety to hunt another day. But may get something tonight who knows.

Back at the jeep. Left my climber/platform in deep. With the incoming rain towards the end of the week, I think I’m gonna have one good shot left at that spot, next Tuesday. Good luck to those who are still out and the PM shift! I’ll be headed out tomorrow morning as well, it’s a special day…requiring me to hunt a special spot..

Wind changed directions so I’m moving to a new stand for the afternoon. Good to actually get around during the daylight and see the area.

    good luck PM shift!

Ha! I finally find my saddle today. I got limbs cut and went through a few totes while putting the saw away. OH MY, I made it for a much larger person. Good thing I layer. The tractable belt is at it's limit as to tightening and the leg strapped are well over a foot long. I have to tie them off to the climbing rope loops Though today it's kinda warm. I'll be using it in the stand I can't sit in.

Headed to the stand I sat in Saturday morning. I saved this all season for this time of year and this wind direction. This stand is my best chance to shoot a big buck. It is now WAS the best chance. Beyond frustrated. A neighbor, and friend, is hunting the property (10 acres) and has a pop up blind set 40 yards from my tree stand! He is trying to help his daughter shoot her first deer. They are new to hunting and DO NOT have permission to be on the property. I also hunt a neighboring piece, so I think they feel I hunt all the places they could. I normally see a bunch of deer because I am wicked careful about hunting the wind and scent control. The land owner doesn't live around there and people seem to think they can walk there, mow trails through it, and now hunt it. I believe it is WRECKED. So frustrating. I do a ton of asking around to gain permission to hunt, write thank yous, show people I care and show gratitude, stand prep and maintenance, limit scent and play the wind....and I feel cheated. They know I have a bigger piece to hunt, which I am thankful for. I love getting kids into hunting, but they don't realize what they just destroyed. I'm not the one that can tell them not to hunt there...just don't have it in my heart, but Freak. Drove a Kabota and cleared a wide path. Walk through bedding...SMH. Sorry for the rant, but I am pissed. My only hope is they don't hunt too much. Maybe I get a lucky shot. Gotta try to find out.

That sucks man. I would be frustrated as well. It’s no fun having those conversations but if you have permission and he doesn’t I think you have every right to have a conversation with the guy. If he is a friend, hopefully he would understand.
