Just breaking day light. Sit up on a ridge in the middle of 2 corn fields about 250yds away. I seen a few small rack bucks in here last week hopefully the big boys will be on there feet this morning.
1/2 hour till shooting light. I bought some Nocturnals for my arrows and desperately want to see one dissapear through a big bucks ribcage. Good luck everyone. I'm going in!
Long quiet walk in I heard movement in the slashing wood lot then some near me as I just stepped onto platform . Squirrels ever since until just now.... ticking of racks in the slashings above me. Of course fist day I left rattling bag home. I'd feel bad about not hearing a bunch of deer as normal, but I'm not hearing them on the nieghbors either. Always has been crazy in that swamp bedding area. Zip this year. The woods are noisy too. Everything dried up. I confess, yes had to clean some trails to major stands. I can not stand a noisy walk in. Besides the other day when I had the fold up buck decoy. I called in a hunter. Hubby thinks a trespasser on the nieghbors oroperty. He had driven by and there were zero vehicle any where. I caught him because he spooked the 5 fawn past me. The biggest stopped to look back. I caught him sneaking down the hill and waved him off before he got to our line. Gun season I don't want to sound like a deer walking through my woods.especially in rifle and new 30 mins past sun set with new 12 yr Olds out.

Quiet here, except for the damn squirrels . Sun is finally starting to warm up the valley below. Expecting to see something moving soon
Well the squirrels are finally up. 20 minutes ago there wasn't a single thing moving. Now the woods is alive with the tree rats and every one of them sounds like a booner coming through the woods Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
