Just chippers and a red Fox that froze at my scent trail 5 yrds from stand at Sunset. Hard pass way too many rodents around. Then as I packed up I had deer walk by but to dark to see what . I did hear a soft grunt..

    no deer again.
One coyote, was resting my eyes, heard a commotion and he was flying by at Mach 1 after a squirrell or something.

I have now have more coyotes seen from the stand than deer this year.

Glad you mentioned red fox, was sitting in the morning stand and about 8:45 or so squirrels went bat chit crazy barking up on the ridge in front of me. Thought maybe a deer was walking the top an startled them, but they kept sounding off, probably 4 or 5 total. Couldn't see or hear anything, thought maybe coyote.

A minute or so later I look to my left and a red fox come up out of the creek, hit my scent and immediately turned around. Definitely wasn't that fox that did it, but something had the squirrels up top going crazy.

Pretty sure fox are not in season this time if year, and while I would love to have a mount of one, not sure I could shoot one.

Have you tried pulling your bow back since the E-Bike incident? While not your dominant side, if it's cracked I'm sure it wouldn't feel good either way.

Good job fellas. Nov 6 has always been good.
I'm on my 3rd beer just catching up since early this morning
I have not been brining my tablet into the stand for awhile. Stuff can happen fast this time of year and I don't wanna be distracted for a second. Sure is fun though cracking a beer(s) and reading how everyone is doing.
Slow this morning. See 2 fawns and 2 small bucks from the cabin.
Bout noon, a 100"ish 4x4 came through on a wander.
I took a snooze and when I woke up, there was a 3 year old 125ish buck pushing doe 40 yards away. Fun to watch.

Sat this evening for 3 hours. 8_10 nice big does and just a few squirt bucks. Eerytime I'd see a doe coming I'd grab my bow.
    Nuttn big following?
Kinda a bittersweet thing. My neighbor 2 the north has about 3/4 mile of riverbottom. Exceptional hunting!
He decided this year to post it and allow no gun hunting.
Tickled me to my core but the I started thinking about the family with young kids that have hunted there and now have no place to hunt. My heart now wishes he hadn't done that.
Our hunting heritage needs those kids.

Cls, I aint good at studying too maps but if it's been unhunted, I'd get my ass in there!
